Job Description

Product Support Analysts play an important part in helping Experian deliver exceptional client service. As an Industrial Placement Student, you will join the team who maintain Experian’s Business Solutions products. It’s an exciting role where data is at the heart of what you do!

In this role, you will work across a broad technical remit using various products like APIs, web portals, and automatic data feeds. Day to day you could be processing data loading into systems, contributing to data reports, MI or even working on a product proof-of-concept for future clients (where you take a sample of data from a client and assess what benefit that future product could offer them).

A key part of the role is also helping to ensure our products run as they should by checking system data, responding to client queries or issues, and creating client feedback loops so we can support and maintain our business products in the best ways possible. It’s an ideal opportunity if you have an interest in Data Analytics but would like a wider remit of responsibilities in your job, as this role isn’t just about looking at the numbers! 

Throughout this placement, communication skills are important as you’ll be working with a variety of people and may have to translate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders. You will also have chance to put your creative flair to use, through understanding our processes and suggesting enhancements for the future.

Qualifications

To apply for this opportunity, you must be able to undertake a year in industry placement as part of your undergraduate degree at a UK university and be on track to graduate in 2025. The industrial placement will start in July 2023 and end in August 2024.

You’ll be an undergrad on a Bachelor’s STEM degree course, or be technically minded, as it’s important that you are confident working with and understanding data. Any knowledge of technologies such as web services, computer programming (eg. SQL, python) or data visualisation tools (eg. Tableau) are valuable but not essential to the role.

It’s also key to be an analytical thinker, have good communication skills and a thirst for learning.
